Problem
The brush drive motor operates but the
brush does not rotate.
The brush drive belt squeaks.
The pump motor does not operate.
The pump motor operates but no
cleaning solution is being dispensed
through the spray nozzle.
The spray pattern from the nozzle is
uneven.
Solution leaks through the nozzle when
the machine is turned "off".
Solution or foam is entering the vacuum
through the ports on the recovery tank
lid.
The machine is not effectively removing
dirt/stains from the carpet.
Cause
ˇ Brush drive belt is loose.
ˇ Brush drive belt, belt pulleys and/or brush
roll are defective.
ˇ The machine and belt are new.
ˇ The brush drive belt may be loose.
ˇ The pump motor switch is in "off" position.
ˇ The pump motor, pump motor switch and/or
pump motor wiring circuit (including fuse)
is defective.
ˇ The spray nozzle and/or the spray nozzle
screen filter is clogged with debris and/or
soap or lime build-up.
ˇ The solution tank filter is clogged.
ˇ The solution tank is empty.
ˇ The solution line hose in unplugged at the
accessory outlet (at the front of the
machine).
ˇ The pump motor, solenoid/check valve and/
or solution line hoses are defective.
ˇ The spray nozzle is obstructed, damaged
or worn.
ˇ The solenoid/check valve is defective.
ˇ The recovery tank is full.
ˇ Excessive foam is being created because
non-foaming chemicals are not being used.
ˇ The machine is being operated too quickly.
ˇ Deep, old stains may need to be chemically
pre-treated.
ˇ Heavily-soiled areas may need to be
cleaned more than once.
ˇ Pump, spray nozzle, vacuum motor, brush
motor, or brush roll are not propery working
or maintained.

Solution
ˇ Adjust belt tension (see "MAINTENANCE").
ˇ Contact the dealer from which the machine
was purchased or an authorized service
station for repair.
ˇ Raise the brush off of the floor by tilting the
machine back onto its rear wheels. Run
the brush motor for 1-2 minutes with the
machine in this position before using the
machine.
ˇ Adjust belt tension (see "MAINTENANCE").
ˇ Turn the pump motor switch to "on"
position.
ˇ Contact the dealer from which the machine
was purchased or an authorized service
station for repair.
ˇ Clean the the spray nozzle and spray
nozzle screen filter using vinegar and
water solution (see "Maintenance").
ˇ Remove debris which may be blocking the
solution tank filter.
ˇ Fill the solution tank.
ˇ Plug the solution line hose into the
accessory outlet (at the front of the
machine).
ˇ Contact the dealer from which the machine
was purchased or an authorized service
station for repair.
ˇ Clean the spray nozzle using vinegar and
water solution (see "Maintenance").
Inspect spray nozzle and replace if
damaged or worn.
ˇ Contact the dealer from which the machine
was purchased or an authorized service
station for repair.
ˇ Empty the recovery tank.
ˇ Use non-foaming chemicals (see "PREPA-
RATION").
ˇ Use the machine at a slower pace.
ˇ Pre-treat all stains using pre-treatment
chemicals, following the manufacture's
instructions for use.
ˇ Clean heavily-soiled areas a second time
using a cleaning pattern that is perpendicu-
lar to the initial cleaning pattern (initial
pattern front-to-back, second pattern left-
to-right).
ˇ Review the above-listed problems/solutions
for these items. If no solution can be
found, contact the dealer from which the
machine was purchased or an authorized
service station for repair.
