Assembly and setting up
WARNING! RISK OF FIRE!

Never place the appliance underneath wall
cupboards or next to curtains, cupboard
walls or other flammable objects.
►
Set up the appliance at least 70 cm from any
flammable materials (e.g. curtains).
►
Always place the appliance on a heat-resistant
surface.
►
Set up the appliance with its rear side directly
against the wall. When doing so, ensure that
the wall is made of heat-resistant material
and that the lid
1) Remove all of the parts from the box and
remove the packaging material and any
protective film.
2) Clean all components as described in Chapter
"Cleaning and care". Ensure that all parts are
completely dry.
3) Place the appliance on a heat-resistant, clean
and level surface.
4) Place the drip tray
it sits in the recess to the left of the centre.
ATTENTION! DAMAGE TO PROPERTY!

Never use the appliance without the drip
tray
! Otherwise hot fat and other hot
liquids will drip down from the appliance

7) Connect the thermostat
on the appliance. Ensure that the thermostat

Before first use
1) Open the lid
by pushing up the catch on
the handle
and, at the same time, pulling
the lid
upwards.
Open the lid
until the hinges slide down

2) Wipe the griddle

by lifting it lightly into the

so that it can be folded shut.
4) Insert the plug in a mains power socket and
set the temperature control
appliance will heat up.
5) Wait for 10 minutes.
6) Then disconnect the plug and allow the appli-
ance to cool down.
NOTE
►
The first time the appliance heats up, a small
amount of smoke and smell may be generated
due to production-related residues. This is
completely normal and is not dangerous.
Provide sufficient ventilation by opening a
window, for example.
7) Wipe the griddle
