Should you notice any unusual changes (e.g. increased symptoms), please
contact your physician without delay.
No product liability is accepted in the event of improper use. Do not allow the
product to come into contact with ointments, lotions or substances containing
grease or acids.
Side effects involving the body as a whole have not been reported to date. Correct
tting is assumed. Do not put the GenuTrain® P3 on too tightly as this could lead
to local pressure symptoms. In rare cases, constriction of blood vessels and nerves
may occur. If this happens, check the t of your GenuTrain® P3 and, if necessary,
have the size of your support checked.
The GenuTrain® P3 active support cannot mechanically prevent the kneecap from
dislocating again (patellar luxation) as a result of external trauma.
Contains natural rubber latex (elastodiene), which can cause skin irritation
in persons with an allergy. Take off the support if you notice any allergic
reaction.
Contraindications
No clinically signi cant hypersensitive reactions have been reported to date.
If you have any of the following conditions such aids should only be tted and
applied after consultation with your physician:
• Skin disorders/injuries in the relevant part of the body, particularly if
in ammation is present. Likewise, any raised scars with swelling, redness and
excessive heat build-up
• Varicose veins
• Impaired sensation and circulatory disorders of the legs (e.g. diabetes
mellitus)
• Impaired lymph drainage – including soft tissue swellings of uncertain origin
located away from the tted support

To ensure that the kneecap is in the optimal position, bend the leg slightly
(max. 20°). Release the tensioning strap from the Velcro area on the inside of
the support. Pull the strap diagonally upward until the kneecap is in the desired,
comfortable position. 6 Refasten the ends of the strap onto the Velcro area.
Removal

To remove the support, pull down at the bottom of the support on both sides
near the stays. To avoid damaging the support, do not turn it inside out!

Cleaning instructions
Note: Never expose the GenuTrain® P3 to direct heat (e.g. heaters, sunlight, in
your car, etc.)! This may cause damage to the material, which could impair the
effectiveness of the GenuTrain® P3.

Machine
wash
Wash the support separately in a lingerie bag with a mild detergent at 30 °C.
Wash the GenuTrain® P3 regularly so that the knitted fabric retains its
compressive properties.

Technical speci cations/parameters, accessories
The GenuTrain® P3 is an active support for the knee. It consists of a knitted
section with an integrated massage pad around the knee, a corrective strap on
top of this and a massage pad at the upper edge of the support. Spare parts are
not available.
Notes on reuse
The GenuTrain® P3 is intended for your treatment only and has been speci cally
selected according to your measurements. For this reason, do not pass the
GenuTrain® P3 on to other people.
Warranty

Warranty is provided in accordance with the statutory provisions as well as the
terms of supply and contractual terms of Bauerfeind AG (Terms and Conditions),
as long as all the points mentioned in these instructions are observed.
If you have any complaints, please contact your medical retailer only.
Please note that only clean goods can be dealt with.

You can dispose of the product in accordance with national legal requirements.
