This battery-powered clipper is supplied with 2 battery packs. While the appliance is being

used, the second battery pack can be recharged on the charging stand. This means that the
clipper is always ready for use.

Important safety information
For your own protection from injuries and electric shocks, the following information must be

observed when using electrical equipment:
Read all the instructions before using the appliance!

· Only use hair clippers to cut human hair. Only use animal clippers to cut animal hair and ani-
mal fur.

· Only connect the appliance to an AC mains power supply. Note the rated voltage on the rat-
ing plate.

· Never touch electrical equipment that has fallen into water. Disconnect from the mains
immediately.

· Never use electrical equipment in the bath or under the shower.
· Always position or store electrical equipment where it cannot fall into water (e.g. washbasin).

Prevent electrical equipment from coming into contact with water and other liquids.
· Apart from when charging, always disconnect from the mains immediately after using the
appliance.

· This appliance is not suitable for use by people (including children) with physical, sensory or

· Only use the appliance for the proper use as described in the operating instructions. Only
use accessories recommended by the manufacturer.

· Never use the appliance if the mains cable or plug-in transformer is damaged. Do not use
the appliance if it is not working correctly, if it is damaged or if it has fallen into water. In
these cases, send the appliance to our Service Centre for inspection and repair. Only spe-
cialists properly trained in the handling of electrotechnical appliances may repair electrical
equipment.
· Do not hold the appliance by the mains cable to carry it, and do not use the cable as a
handle.
· Keep the appliance away from hot surfaces.
· Make sure that the mains cable is not twisted or kinked when charging or storing.
· Never insert or allow objects to fall into the openings of the appliance.
· Only use and store the appliance in dry rooms.
· Never use the appliance where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is
released.
· To prevent injuries, never use the appliance if the blade set is damaged.
· Only use original battery pack with thermal protection.
· Before the appliance is used for the first time, it should be charged for 1.5 hours.
· The appliance is safety insulated and radio screened. It meets the requirements of EU
Directive 2004/108/EC regarding electromagnetic compatibility and EC Low Voltage Directive
2006/95/EC.
Exhausted batteries/rechargeable batteries should not be disposed of in household
waste. Dispose of them in accordance with legal regulations.
Start-up
· The battery-powered clipper contains a removable battery pack.
· Before the appliance is used for the first time, the battery pack should be charged for 1.5
hours.
· Connect the appliance plug (N) on the plug-in transformer (M) to the charging stand socket

· Connect the plug-in transformer to the mains power supply (Fig 1
· Press the unlock buttons on the side and remove the battery pack (Fig. 2
· Insert the battery pack into the recess of the charger (Fig. 3). The red charging indicator (G)
on the charger (E) lights up.
· After the charging process has been completed, the charging indicator (G) on the charger (E)
will start blinking.
· Remove the battery pack from the charger and insert it into the appliance until you hear it
ⓑ
snap into place (Fig. 2
).
· The battery only needs to be recharged when the battery power indicator (C) on the hand-
held appliance lights up during operation. In this case, the remaining capacity is still approx.
15%. It should take around 75 minutes hour for the appliance to charge to full capacity.
The second battery can remain in the charger. This way, a charged battery pack is always
available.
· With the battery fully charged, a hair clipper can be operated for approx. 100 minutes.
· With the battery fully charged, a horse clipper can be operated for approx. 80 minutes.
· Note: In case of insufficient maintenance of the blade set, the operating time can be reduced
considerably.
