OPERATING IN WINTER (Ref. to Fig. 5)
To optimise carburettor function when operating in temperatures below 10°C we advise mixing
cold air with the hot air coming from the cylinder area so as to pre-heat the intake air. To do this
all that is required is to:
– Remove the cover and air fi lter (see § 6.1.1) placing the cover (C) in view.
– Loosen screw (X) and turn the position the inlet cap (C), tighten screw (X).
– On completion, replace the air fi lter and cover.

5.1) Carburettor
The carburettor is factory set for optimum performance and adjustment should be avoided.
5.2) Adjust idling
In case of unstable running at idle speed, allow a short warm-up period then (Ref. to Fig. 6):
Remove the fi lter cover and adjust the screw (M) so the engine runs in a stable condition at mini-
mum revs. (2600 - 2800 rpm).
In idling position the transmission shaft must not turn.
