5.1 MAINTENANCE PLAN - Summary table

It is in the interests of the user to follow these instructions carefully, as when work recommences, he will fi nd the equipment in perfect
condition.

USE AND MAINTENANCE
- Carefully check the general condition of the machine after the fi rst 8 hours service.
- In particular, after having checked the tines for wear, tighten the screws and tine shields that
fi x the tines to the supports. At that time, it is advisable to check that all screws and bolts are
correctly torqued.
- Grease the cardan shaft cross journals.
- Check that the bolts fi xing the hoe blades are well tightened.

Grease the roller supports if the rear roller is installed.
- CHANGE THE OIL IN THE GEARBOX HOUSING AFTER THE FIRST 50 HOURS.
- Check the level of the oil in the gearbox (1 Fig.34) and top up to the level mark on the rod
as necessary (2 Fig.34)
- Check the level of the oil in the rotor splindle cover (7 Fig.34) and top up through the oil fi ll
plug as necessary (8 Fig.34)

Grease the cardan shaft cross journals.
- Side transmission gears: check the level of the oil in the side casing of the transmission unit,
unscrewing the level plug (3 Fig.34) and checking that oil fl ows out. Add oil through the fi ll
plug if necessary (4 Fig.34). It should fl ow from the level plug.
- Change the oil in the in the gearbox and transmission casing by completely draining off the
old oil through the drain plug under the reduction unit (5 Fig.34) and through the transmission
drain plug (6 Fig.34).
- When this operation is carried out, it is also advisable to demount and clean the clutch disks
and and check the tightness of the clutch springs (if the cardan shaft has a clutch).
- Check that all bolts are well tightened.
- Replace all the tubes of the hydraulic systems.
At the end of the season, or if a long period of rest is foreseen it is advisable to:
1) Wash the equipment thoroughly with water, especially the chemical substance hoppers,
then dry them. Clean the electrical components only with a dry cloth.
2) Carefully check for worn or damaged parts and replace then where required.
3) Firmly tighten all screws and bolts.
4) Apply protecting oil to all unpainted parts.
5) Protect the equipment with a (nylon) cover.
6) Then position it stably in a dry place out of the reach of unauthorized people
