TENSION ADJUSTMENT
The assembly of your cross trainer is complete. When using the machine for the first time, you must adjust the tension
to a desirable level before beginning any training.
When you start the exercise, simply use the tension adjustment knob (located at the top centre). The tension level can
be manipulated to change the tension power. If you turn the knob to the clockwise direction, the tension is stronger. If
you turn the knob to the counterclockwise direction, the tension power is less.
For more adjustments, you can loosen or tighten the friction belt by re-strapping it.
First turn the tension knob to the loosest setting. Then re-strap on the belt on the main frame, just beneath the flat
beam at the top centre. The more length you allow for the friction belt to wrap around the wheel, the less friction it will
produce. Readjust the tension knob after completing the readjustment of the straps.

The more tightly the
friction belt wraps around the
fan heel, the harder it is for you
to pedal (more tension)

REVERSIBLE MOVEMENT
Remember, your cross trainer has a REVERSIBLE MOVEMENT!
Forward pedalling exercises the quadriceps (the front thighs muscles), while backward pedalling needs your hamstring
(the back thighs muscles).
Take advantage of it to make your workout less tiring and more fun.
