2) By means of the encoder V/SET (ref.8 page 9), select the number of the program that
you want to load.
3) Press and hold down for more than 2 seconds the SET button (ref.10 page 9); you will
hear 4 sounds of the buzzer and the letters ReC will blink on the left-hand display (ref.5
page 9).
At this point the program has been loaded and you can continue using the machine.
ATTENTION : you can store a welding program on any program number already
memorised. The data of the deleted program will be definitively lost.
PREPARATION AND OPERATION OF THE TORCH PUSH-
PULL/TORCH UP-DOWN REMOTE CONTROLS
The torch PUSH-PULL and torch UP- DOWN remote controls allow remote regulation of
the wire speed / welding current without acting directly on the machine.
The wire feeder TOP 504 S-P is equipped with a special connector (ref.45 page10),
which allows the connection of the remote control, of the torch PUSH-PULL or of the
torch UP –DOWN.
When the torch connector is inserted in the socket provided (ref.45 page 10), the wire
feeder automatically recognises the type of torch and prepares for remote regulation.
TORCH UP-DOWN OPERATION
When the torch UP–DOWN connector is inserted in the socket provided on the
generator (ref.45 page10), you can access the regulation of the wire speed / welding
current using the two buttons on the torch handgrip. Pressing the top button increases
the wire speed /current to the maximum value; pressing the bottom button decreases the
wire speed /current to the minimum value.
TORCH PUSH-PULL OPERATION
When the torch PUSH-PULL connector is inserted in the socket provided on the
generator (ref.45 page 10), you can make the drive motor on the torch run automatically
and access the regulation of the wire speed / welding current using the potentiometer on
the back of the torch handgrip. By regulating the potentiometer you can vary the wire
speed / current from the minimum to the maximum value.
