2) Bring the tip of the electrode (tungsten) close to the piece to be welded.
3) Press the torch button: after 0.5 seconds of PRE-GAS, the arc is lit by the HF
generator and the welding process starts .
End of welding:
1) The arc goes out automatically after the time regulated by means of the ST
button (ref.8 page 9); then there will be the POST-GAS time set by means of the
PG button (ref.15 page 9).
Procedure for TIG SPOT WELDING with LIFT start (without HF)
Starting welding:
1) Check that the HF ON led (ref.7A page 9) is off. If it is not, press the HF ON
button (ref.7 page 9) ; the HF ON led goes off (ref.7A page 9).
2) Bring the tip of the electrode (tungsten) into contact with the piece to be welded.
3) Press the torch button: after 0.5 seconds of PRE-GAS, lift the torch from the side
so as to move STightly away from the piece to be welded and start the welding
process .
End of welding:
1) Perform the same procedure described for TIG Spot Welding with HF start.
- TIG WELDING WITH REPAIR (DOUBLE PARAMETER)
1) Press the mode selection button (ref.4 page 9) until the Tig Repair mode led
lights up (ref.4E page 9)
2) For 2 seconds the displays (ref.20-21 page 9) will show the letters tig Rep.
3) Regulating the welding current – proceed as described for TIG 2 TIME
welding.
4) Regulating the slope down – proceed as described for TIG 2 TIME welding.
Note: when the slope down is regulated, a slope up with 1/4 value of the set time is
automatically set..
5) Regulating the Final Current – Second Parameter - When the FC button is
pressed (ref.14 page 9), the left-hand display V (ref.21 page 9) will start to blink,
indicating the value that can be selected with the encoder (ref.5 page .9), from 10%
to 90% of the final welding current A.
By pressing the torch button briefly (less than 0.5 seconds ), you can pass directly
from current value A to the final current value FC and vice versa.
To view the set value at any time, briefly press the FC button.
6) Regulating the post-gas time - proceed as described for TIG 2 TIME welding.
7) Activating and regulating DC pulse – proceed as described for TIG 2 TIME
welding.
8) Activating and regulating AC mode – proceed as described for TIG 2 TIME
welding.
9) If you want to work with a remote control (CAD), refer to the chapter on
PREPARING THE REMOTE/PEDAL CONTROL on page 20.
