1.0- INTRODUCTION

PEDRO GIL, S.L. (hereinafter, PG), has published this guide to provide information for the safe, efficient start-up and
operation of the blowers and compact units we manufacturer.
Please ensure all staff read this manual before undertaking any work and have suitable training and skills for the work.
This machine is manufactured and assembled based on the directives established in the European safety guidelines. The
guide forms part of the documentation required by those guidelines and complements them with specific instructions for
PG machines, It is our aim to ensure maximum safety for both people and materials.
3.0- ARRIVAL/UNLOADING ON SITE
The machines and their accessories are securely packed and protected prior to dispatch from P G. Please carefully inspect
all items for damage caused in transit and report any issues to the driver and to the factory immediately. No responsibility
can be accepted for damaged or missing items reported at a later date.
Check that:
- There is no damage.
- The whole order has been received.
- The technical data on the blower nameplate plate coincide with those contained in the order

3.1- STORAGE

- It is vital to ensure the unit will be stored in a dry,frost and dust free environment
- In the event of prolonged storage, add oil to each of the two housings, up to the correct level
- Protect the internal surfaces of the blower with anti-corrosive oil
- Turn the blower and motor shaft from time to time and avoid any defect in its support on the bearings
- Slacken the tension on the drive belts

2.0- SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

- Do not start up the machine without first reading the instructions guide !
- Use the suitable PPE and equipment prevent any risks that could be caused by using
and installing this equipment
- Keep your body and clothes away from the rotating unit-machine and the air or gas
intakes and outputs
- Hearing protection should be worn if operating this blower without the acoustic
enclosure or if the enclosure is incomplete (doors open)
- Hot surfaces on the blower / equipment may cause burns
- Do not run the blower with the vee belt drive guard removed.
- Carry out regular checks on start up
- Do not operate the blower with a partially dismantled enclosure.
- To prevent a build-up of static electricity, the motor and base should be 'earthed' with
an earth strap a cross-section of at least 16 sq mm.
- Do not use the blower unit outside the duty parameters it was supplied for.
- An emergency pushbutton must be provided to stop the blower unit in the event of an
emergency
- Never start up the blower with the inlet and or discharge flanges open
- Maintenance should only be carried out when the machine is stopped, cool and
isolated
-Disconnect the machine from the electrical supply in the event of having to move or
remove any components for maintenance
