If the mains power cable of this appliance
should become damaged, it must be replaced
by the manufacturer or the manufacturer's cus-
tomer service department, in order to avoid any
hazards.
Observe the notes on cleaning and care of the
appliance (see "Cleaning and care" on page 23).
After an extended use, the cutter head may be-
come hot.
DANGER for children
Packing materials are not children's toys. Children should not be
allowed to play with the plastic bags. There is a risk of suffocation.
DANGER! Risk of electric shock due to moisture
Never place the appliance anywhere that it could fall into water
while plugged in.
If the appliance has fallen into water, pull out the power unit
immediately, and only then remove the appliance from the water.
Do not use the appliance again, and have it checked by a special-
ist workshop.
Protect the appliance from moisture, water drops and water
splashes.
The appliance, the connector cable and the power unit must not
be immersed in water or any other liquids.
If liquid gets into the appliance, remove the power unit immedi-
ately. Have the appliance checked before reusing.
Do not operate the appliance with wet hands.
After use, pull out the power unit. Sources of water in the vicinity
of the appliance present a danger even when it is switched off.
Installation of a residual current appliance (FI/RCD) with a rated
residual operating current of no more than 30 mA is recom-
mended to provide additional protection. Ask your electrician for
advice. The installation should only be carried out by a qualified
electrician.
DANGER! Risk of electric shock
Check the appliance and the connector cable regularly for dam-
age. Never put the appliance into operation if there are visible
damages to the appliance or the connector cable or if the appli-
ance has been dropped before.
Only connect the power unit to a properly installed, easily accessi-
ble power socket, the voltage of which corresponds to the specifi-
cations on the type plate of the power unit. The power socket
must continue to be easily accessible after the appliance is
plugged in.
Lay the connector cable so that no one can step on it, get caught
on it, or trip over it.
Please be careful not to damage the connector cable:
– During the operation, the connector cable must not come into
contact with the cutter head.
– Keep the cable away from hot surfaces and sharp edges.
– Ensure that the connector cable is not trapped or crushed.
– Do not wrap the connector cable around the appliance. The
cable may break.
When removing the power unit from the power socket, always
pull the power unit and never the connector cable.
Even after it has been switched off, the appliance has not been
completely disconnected from the mains. For this, pull out the
power unit.
