2.1 Adjusting the position
2.1.1 Attaching the pedals
If you ever need to remove your pedals, be aware
that on the inside of your pedal you will fi nd an R
and an L. The R pedal should be fi tted on the right
(the side with the chainring(s)). The L pedal should
be fi tted on the left (the side without a chainring).
Remember when attaching the pedals:
•
To tighten the right pedal, turn clockwise
•
To tighten the left pedal, turn anti-clockwise
2.1.2 Adjusting the saddle
The fi rst thing you can adjust is the height of the
saddle. Your reseller may help you do this. If the
position of the saddle feels uncomfortable, please
do adjust it. An incorrect position can actually
cause medium and long-term injuries.
The height of the saddle can be adjusted by
unscrewing the seat clamp with a 5mm Allen key,
or by opening the quick release lever.
N.B., all seat posts have a minimum insertion
level which is indicated on the post ("min" or
"stop"). It is not a good idea to pull the saddle
higher than this limit to guarantee your safety.
Once the height of the seat has been adjusted,
you can change its angle. We recommend starting
with the seat horizontal and adjusting it to suit
you.
2.1.3 Adjusting the handlebars
Our bikes have already been adjusted to guarantee
optimum ergonomics.
However, if you need to adjust the cockpit, we
recommend following these steps.
If you would like to adjust the angle of the
handlebars, you need to unscrew the stem and
angle the handlebars until you fi nd the most
comfortable position for you. Then tighten the
stem screws (6/8Nm if the stem has 2 screws,
4/5Nm if it has 4).
For stems with 4 screws, you must always unscrew
and screw in a cross pattern:

2.1.4 Adjusting the position of
the brakes
To make sure the brake lever is in the correct
position, unscrew the brake clamp and adjust the
angle so that it points in the same direction as your
forearms when you are in the cycling position.
Adjust the position so that you can apply the
brakes with two fi ngers.
Tighten the screws again to 5Nm. If you want to
make any other adjustments, contact your reseller.
