Setting the Grinding Fineness
Turn the knob for adjusting the grinding fi neness (13) to the right or left so that the scale point
points to the position with the grinding fi neness you want (Picture C).
You can adjust the grinding fi neness to eight settings:
– all the way to the left: fi nest grinding level
– all the way to the right: coarsest grinding level
When you switch to another grinding strength, there will still be coffee powder with the
previous grinding strength in the grinder shaft.
Inserting the Filter
1. Press the release button for the fi lter compartment (4).
2. Insert the fi lter insert (9) into the fi lter compartment (11).
3. Insert either the permanent fi lter (10) or a basket fi lter paper into the fi lter insert.
4. Close the fi lter compartment. It must engage audibly.
Basket fi lter papers are available via our website www.beem.de or from our customer service depart-
ment on request.
Setting the Number of Cups
Keep pressing the button
4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 cups).

Hotplate
The variant with glass jug (Article number 03201) has a hotplate which is switched on
automatically after each brewing process. It switches off again automatically after around 35 – 40
minutes. If you want to stop the keep-hot function prematurely, press the button

(16) (depending on the chosen preparation type).
The variant with thermal jug (Article number 03200) does not have a hotplate.
