Tighten the LATCH/UAS strap.
Press down firmly in the center
of the car seat while tightening
the LATCH/UAS strap. You
may need to tighten further by
pulling upwards in-line with the
belt path as shown.
8. Test for tightness.
Grab the side of the seat with
one hand where the LATCH/
UAS strap is and slide the car
seat side-to-side and front-
to-back. If the seat moves
less than 1 in. (2.5 cm), it is
tight enough. Do not test by
grasping the top or back of the
seat.
9. To remove LATCH/UAS strap
from vehicle — Use LATCH/
UAS release on the LATCH/UAS
connectors and pull them off
the anchor bars.
