WARNING!
Risk of explosion and fire!
Improper handling of the battery increases the risk of explosion and fire.
• Never expose the motorcycle battery to severe heat such as naked flames or
similar phenomena.
• Keep it away from very hot surfaces, such as exhausts.
• Do not use the battery in an explosive atmosphere or in the proximity of highly
flammable liquids, gases or dust.
• Avoid strong mechanical influences on the battery.
• Do not overcharge the battery, and be sure to use suitable chargers (also see
Section 6.2).
• Cannot be jump-started, e.g. bridging car to motorcycle.
WARNING!
Risk of electric shock!
Improper handling of the battery increases the risk of an electric shock. The
battery has a splash guard (relevant against weathering and cleaning of the
motorcycle). Under no circumstances may the battery be immersed in water.
• Never touch the terminals with metallic objects, as this may lead to an electric
shock or short-circuit.
• The terminals of the battery may not be soldered.
• Ensure the positive and negative terminals are connected correctly.
• Never touch the battery or its accessories with wet hands.
• Do not bend the connecting cables and do not lay them over sharp edges.
• Do not operate the battery if there is visible damage.
• Do not open the casing and do not make any changes to the battery or
its accessories. In the case of repairs carried out independently, improper
connection or incorrect use, liability and warranty claims are excluded.
WARNING!
Danger for children and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
abilities (e.g. partially disabled persons, elderly persons with reduced physical
and mental abilities) or lack of experience and knowledge (e.g. older children).
• Store the battery away from children.
• The battery can be used by children over the age of ten and by persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of experience and
knowledge when they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of
the battery and when they understand the resulting hazards.
• Maintenance may not be carried out by children without supervision.
• Keep the packaging film away from children, as there is danger of suffocation.
