2.13 FUEL
WARNING
Gasoline is poisonous and
can cause injury or death.
Handle
gasoline
carefully.
Never suck up petrol with
your mouth. If gasoline is in-
gested or if large quantities of
gasoline vapors are inhaled,
or gasoline encounters the
eyes, seek immediate medi-
cal WARNING.
If you spill gasoline on your
skin, wash it off with soap
and water. If you spill pet-
rol on your clothes, change
them.
The engine was designed to use un-
leaded gasoline with a controlled oc-
tane number of 95 or higher.
If the engine knocks, use a different
brand or higher-octane gasoline.

NOTE:
- This reference identifies the recommend-
ed fuel for this vehicle as specified by the
European regulation (EN228).
- Check that the fuel pump nozzle has the
same fuel identification reference.
2.13.a Different types of petrol
There are several types of gasoline
containing ethanol. Gasoline contain-
ing ethanol can be used if the ethanol
content does not exceed 10% (E10).
Italjet does not recommend petrol
containing methanol as it can cause
damage to the fuel system, or vehicle
performance
problems.
WARNING
Use only unleaded petrol. The
use of leaded petrol would
cause serious damage both
to the internal parts of the
engine, such as valves and
segments, and to the exhaust
system.
