9.1.a The content of the guarantee
Your new motorcycle is guaranteed
free from original defects in accord-
ance with Directive 99/44 EC.
The guarantee consists in the free re-
placement or repair of the vehicle or
of components that show, within the
term, manufacturing defects or, in any
case, defects pre-existing upon deliv-
ery of the vehicle.
The warranty is only valid if your ve-
hicle has followed the recommended
maintenance schedule and all cou-
pons have been properly stamped.
We remind you that the warranty does
not apply in the case of use of the ve-
hicle in motorcycle competitions, as it
is a different use and not compatible
with the use for which your vehicle
was specifically designed.
Remember that, as required by law,
this guarantee is provided directly by
your Italjet Dealer, to whom we invite
you to contact for any need.
If your Italjet Dealer cannot satis-
fy your requests within a reasonable
time or this is more convenient for you,
we invite you to contact any other Ital-
jet Dealer, who will be happy to be at
your service.
9.1.b Battery activation
Your vehicle is covered by a guaran-
tee against original defects from the
moment it is delivered to you by your
Italjet Dealer.
When you receive your Italjet vehicle,
we invite you to sign, together with the
Dealer, the Vehicle Delivery Certifi-
cate found in this manual.
9.1.c What to do in the event of a
warranty claim
If, during the warranty period, your ve-
hicle requires an extraordinary repair
and / or replacement due to an orig-
inal defect, we advise you to imme-
diately contact the Dealer where you
purchased the vehicle (your Dealer)
describing it the problem occurred and
having him examine the vehicle.
If the intervention is made necessary
by the occurrence of an original de-
fect, your Dealer will carry out the nec-
essary repair or replacement free of
charge in the shortest possible time.

9.1.d Warranty conditions
Exclusions
The following are excluded from the
guarantee:
- Deterioration resulting from failure
to comply with the periodic mainte-
nance plan prescribed by Italjet.
- Vehicles whose repairs have been
carried out with spare parts that do
not conform to the original.
- Vehicles for which the periodic
maintenance plan has not been car-
ried out or for which the coupons
have not been duly stamped.
- Vehicles used for racing / rental /
heavy off-road use.
Consumables and wear parts:
The warranty does not cover normal
wear and tear caused using the vehi-
cle for the following parts:
- Spark plugs.
- Distribution chain.
- Brake pads and disks.
- Clutch disks and masses.
- Tires.
- Lamps and fuses.
- Transmission and control cables.
- Tubes and all other rubber parts.
- Bearings.
- Air and petrol filter.
- Secondary transmission chain and
gears.
