Translation of the Original Operating Instructions
2. Put a min. 20 cm long
bar in the middle of the
filter and push it care-
fully down, to open the
check valve. Fill in the
water until the top, once
the valve is pressed.
3. Take out the bar and screw the filter lid back by rotating clockwise. Please
make sure, that the
seal isn´t dirty and
properly lost in the filter.
It is highly recommended to
vent the suction line (2) as
well, i.e. to fill it with water. It
is true that the electrical pumps of the T.I.P. HWA series are self-priming and can
be put into operation by filling only the pump housing with water. In this case,
however, the pump will require some time before it will have sucked in the liquid
to be pumped and proceed to the actual discharging function. In addition, this
way of proceeding may require the pump to be filled several times. This depends
on the length and diameter of the suction line. After filling, please open any shut-
ting device (7) in the pressure line, for instance a water tap, to enable the air to
escape during sucking in. Plug the mains plug into an easily accessible 230V AC
socket, the green "Power" indicator must now light up.
7.2.
Start the pump
Then start the pump by pressing the "ON / Neustart" button. The pump switches
to start mode and indicates this by lighting the start indicator light. If the liquid is
pumped evenly and without air mixture within 3 minutes, the system jumps to
"Auto" and is ready for automatic operation. You may then close the shut-off
valve in the pressure line again. The pump will cut off upon reaching the max.
pressure.
If this is not the case and the "Fehler" (Error) warning light illuminates, check all
connections on the suction side again for leaks and refill the pump housing and,
if possible, the suction hose with water again and repeat the starting procedure.
During the first start-up it is possible under certain circumstances that this pro-
cess must be repeated several times. As a rule, this is caused by the fact that the
amount of air within the system was too large at the first intake cycle, thereby
causing the anti-dry-running feature to trigger.
