Figure 2: Battery Status Indicator
The pushbutton next to the Battery Status indicator can be
used to check the battery capacity at any time (whether the
instrument is on or off).
The instrument battery operation time from fully charged
battery varies according to use
Note: The instrument battery operating time should be ≥ 30
hours under normal operation.

2.2.1 Filing the Reservoir
The instrument is supplied with a 100 cc (3 oz) reservoir
tank. Before filing the pressure reservoir, ensure that the
pressure medium is compatible with your test device.
INFORMATION
The recommended pressure
medium is demineralized water or mineral oil.
CAUTION
Do not submerge the instrument
in pressure medium. If fluid enters any part of
the electrical connection panel, allow the
instrument to dry thoroughly before use.
Step 1
Step 2
Screw the reservoir into the
reservoir port. Turn the
reservoir clockwise, until it is
hand tight.
Unscrew the reservoir locknut
by turning it anti-clockwise
and remove the reservoir
cover.
Step 3
Step 4
2.2.2 Priming the Instrument
CAUTION
Before operating the priming
pump, make sure that the test port is sealed
using a blanking plug. Using the priming the
instrument when the test port is unsealed
could cause pressure medium to spray from
the test port into the electrical ports.
INFORMATION
A blanking plug has been provided
by the manufacturer and shipped with the instrument.
Step 1
English–DPI 610E Quick Start & Safety Manual | 5
Use a squeeze bottle to fill the
reservoir with pressure
medium.
INFORMATION
The
pressure medium level
should be maintained
above the horizontal pin
in the reservoir at all
times when the
instrument is in use.
The volume of pressure
medium in the reservoir
shall not exceed 75cc
when the instrument is
in use.
To avoid contamination,
use only one type of
pressure media in the
instrument. If you wish
to change the pressure
medium after first use,
please contact the
Service Department.
Replace the reservoir cover
and screw on the locknut
finger tight (clockwise) and
then unscrew (anti-clockwise)
a quarter of a turn.
Turn the pressure
release knob half a
turn anti-clockwise.
