7.1 Notes on safety
Danger to life due to dangerous operating states when using serial commu-
nication
If the interface is used, interference from radio waves or other electrical inter-
ference can trigger a reaction. The product no longer responds to the defined
set point value.
Make sure that no interference is present when using the interface.

7.2 Basic requirements
Product-specific requirements
• In case of supply pressure interruption: Switch off 24 V supply voltage (mate-
rial protection).
• The PC connection is only intended for maintenance and parameterization
and not for continuous operation. Take precautions against uncontrolled
movement of system parts (accident prevention, material protection).
• Before opening the sealing cap, make sure that the environment is free from
humidity and dust.

Notes
Brown
• The maximum current at pin 7 is 200 mA (PNP output).
Pin 7 is protected against short-circuits and overloads.

Housing M16 electrical
connector
• IP protection and EMC protection are only ensured if the housing opening for
the PC connection is closed properly. Remove the PC connection cable during
normal operation and close the housing properly with the sealing cap.
7.3 Preparation
Specifications for use in explosive atmospheres
• Make sure that the seals are integrated in the plug and not damaged (explo-
sion protection).
• Make sure that the product is completely closed and undamaged (explosion
protection).
7.4 Step-by-step commissioning
Procedure
1. Switch on the pneumatic supply.
2. Screw in the sealing cap to the stop.
WARNING! Use in explosive atmosphere: Make sure that the sealing cap for
the PC connection is always closed properly (explosion protection).
3. Switch on the 24 V DC supply voltage.
4. Set the pressure. See
