The NuFACE FIX® Device is intended for facial skin stimulation and is
indicated for over-the-counter cosmetic use.
I M P O RTA N T I N FO R M AT I O N
• Use your FIX Device only as described within this User Manual. The
risks and dangers of using the FIX Device in any way that does not
follow this User Manual might be unknown.
• Your NuFACE FIX® Device has a unique serial number located on
the back of the device. Record your serial number and register your
device online at www.MyNuFACE.com. A registration link can be
found at the bottom of the webpage.
C O N T R A I N D I CAT I O N S FO R U S E
• Do not use this device if you have a history of epilepsy or seizures.
• Do not use if you have had recent surgery or other surgical procedures.
• Do not use if you have an electronic implanted device such as a
defibrillator, neurostimulator, pacemaker, or ECG Monitor. If you use
a body-worn medical device, such as an insulin pump - consult your
healthcare provider.
• Do not use if you have any active cancer or over any suspicious or
cancerous lesions.
• Do not use this device if you are pregnant. The safety of
electrical stimulation during pregnancy has not been established.
• Do not use on infants or children under the age of 18.
* Consult your healthcare provider if any of the contraindications
above apply to you.
WA R N I N G S
• If you are under the care of a physician, consult your physician
before using this device.
• Apply stimulation only to normal, intact, clean, healthy skin. Do not
use over red, swollen, infected, or inflamed areas or skin eruptions,
e.g., phlebitis, thrombophlebitis, broken capillaries, varicose veins, etc.
or near cancerous or open wounds.
• Do not operate FIX Device in the presence of electronic monitoring
equipment (e.g., heart monitors, heart tracing or in close proximity
(e.g. 1 m) to shortwave, microwave or electromagnetic therapy
equipment as it may cause the medical equipment to malfunction.
Such equipment may produce instability in FIX Device output and
cause burns at the stimulation site.
Consult your healthcare provider:
• if you experience an adverse reaction from using the device and
discontinue use.
• before using the device if you have painful areas.
Do not apply stimulation/use the device:
• across your chest as the introduction of electrical current into
the chest may cause rhythmic disturbances to your heart, which
could be lethal.
• in the eye area (circular muscle within the orbital rim), on the temples,
or crossing over the heart.
• over areas of skin that lack normal sensation or painful areas.
• while bathing or showering.
• when there is a tendency to bleed following acute injury or breaks
in bones.
