Acute Care calculations

To perform an Acute Care Doppler calculation
The Save Set button is no longer needed and has been removed. Use the revised procedure below:
1 On a frozen image, tap
Acute Care
If this control is hidden, tapping
2 Do the following for each measurement you want to take:
a Select the calculation list that contains the measurement.
If the calculation list is not visible, tap
b Tap the measurement name.
c Position the calipers by dragging.
If a Doppler measurement, drag the caliper to a peak systolic waveform.
d If peak systolic is the only measurement you want to take, proceed to step 2f. To measure the
end diastole point, tap
e Drag the second caliper to the end diastole on the waveform.
f To save the measurements, tap
To measure Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) Collapse
The IVC percent collapse measurement has been added for this release.
1 On a frozen 2D or M-mode trace, tap
Acute Care
If this control is hidden, tapping
2 On the Acute Care list, tap
3 On the Cardiac list, tap
4 Measure the maximum diameter:
a Cine the image to show maximum expansion.
b Measure the diameter with the calipers.
c To save the measurements, tap
5 Measure the minimum diameter:
a Cine the image to show minimum contraction.
