Stick on the docking station (9) and swim platform (10)
warning decals.
IMPORTANT! The warning decals supplied with the DPS
antenna must be located in a clearly visible place in the
vicinity of each helm station, docking station (9) (where
no Volvo Penta 7" Display is located) and the door to the
swim platform (10). The decal states that when the DPS
is activated the propellers may spin and the boat move to
maintain its selected position. Do not swim from the boat

when the DPS is activated!
Perform autoconfiguration
Before the Volvo Penta IPS Dynamic Positioning System
can be used, an autoconfiguration must be performed.
This involves the identification of all components connec-
ted to the EVC system.
NOTE! Autoconfiguration must be performed the first time
the system is switched on, or after an update. Refer to the
Installation manual.
Perform an IPS slip calibration
Before the Volvo Penta IPS Dynamic Positioning System
can be used, a slip calibration must be performed. Refer
to the Installation manual.
NOTE! If slip calibration has not been previously perfor-
med. an initial calibration must be carried out. Contact
your authorized Volvo Penta dealer.
Activate the DPS function
The function can be activated from the main helm station
or docking station at speeds under 3 knots. Read the
Operator's Manual delivered with the new boat.
