Installation sequence Volvo Penta IPS Dynamic
Positioning System Gateway (DPS Gateway)
IMPORTANT! In order to activate the DPS antenna, the
EVC system must be installed with a Volvo Penta 7" Dis-
play and Joystick +.
NOTE! The illustration shows the installation sequence for
the upper helm station (flybridge). The DPS antenna can
also be connected to the other helm stations.

Connect the Y-splitter (I) to the multilink cable (J) between
the two HCUs (K).

Connect the Y-splitter (I) breakout connector (L) to the
DPS Gateway multilink contact (M).

Connect the DPS antenna connector (N) to the DPS Gate-
way multilink contact (M).
DPS diode (6)
Constant light -
The unit has power supply.
Diagnostic (DPS Gateway) diode (7)
Constant light -
The unit has power but no communication from any side.
Flashes on and off repeatedly -
The unit is transmitting and receiving applicable DPS and
MULTILINK data.
ON
OFF
Flashes twice, and then off, repeatedly -
The unit is receiving MULTILINK data but has no DPS
communication.
ON
OFF
Flashes three times, and then off,
repeatedly -
The unit is receiving DPS data but has no MULTILINK
communication.
ON
OFF
