winding crown
The winding crown is used to wind the watch
(position 1) and to set the time (position 2).
winding
Crown pushed home (position 1): To wind the
watch.
The watch features a power-reserve indicator at
12 o'clock; its hand indicates how many days the
watch will continue to run until it needs to be
rewound. When fully wound, the power reserve of
the watch is 8 days. As soon as the power-reserve
hand reaches the red zone, the watch should be
fully rewound again. Should your watch have
stopped running, fully rewind it with 20 additional
turns of the crown when the power-reserve hand
indicates the fully wound state.
To benefit from the chronometric precision of your
watch, you should fully wind it two to three times
per week. When you take off your watch, place it
on a level surface with the case back facing down;
in this position, it will keep running with opti-
mized accuracy.
note:
Please wind the watch before you put it on. This way,
you can avoid lateral pressure on the winding stem which in
the course of the years could damage the stem tube.
