setting the time
Carefully pull the winding crown out to posi-
tion 2, then turn it to move the hands forward or
backward.
If you turn the hands clockwise beyond midnight,
all displays of the calendar mechanism will advance
by one day. It is not advisable to move the hands
counterclockwise beyond midnight; this could
desynchronize the date display. However, this will
not damage the movement.
If the watch has stopped running, first move the
hands clockwise beyond 12 o'clock (midnight) and
verify that the date advances. Now, set the hands to
the current time; turn the hands beyond 12 o'clock
(noon) to set the time in the afternoon. Finally,
push the crown home again (position 1).
Caution:
Take the watch off to set the time. This prevents
lateral pressure on the winding stem tube. Please use your
fingernails to pull the crown out and turn it gently between
two fingertips.
Never pull out the crown in a humid environment or underwa-
ter. The water resistance of your watch is assured only when
the crown is pushed home.
