2. Safety instructions
WARNING: Always ensure that the (safety) instructions in this user manual are followed exactly to avoid the risk
of fire, explosions, other damage to persons and objects and/or loss of life. Read these assembly instructions and
safety instructions carefully before installing and using the device.
1.
The fire pit should always be assembled correctly according to the assembly instructions provided.
2.
Never modify anything in the gas technical system of this device. Any modification to the system may be
dangerous and this will void all device warranty.
3.
Improper installation, adjustments or modifications to the device may result in injury or property
damage.
4.
In case of improper use or failure to follow the safety instructions, any liability is rejected and the
warranty will not apply.
5.
This device must be used in accordance with the applicable regulations. The gas cylinder must also be
stored in accordance with these regulations.
6.
If at any point you smell gas: Immediately close the gas supply of the fire pit, extinguish all open fire near
the pit and do not turn on the fire pit again. Do you continue to smell gas? Move away from the fire pit
and call a gas technical specialist.
7.
The fire pit should be placed level on a hard, stable surface.
8.
The fire pit is only suitable for use with propane gas cylinders. Never use any fuel other than that
described in this manual. See point 6. 'Technical specifications' for more information.
9.
Always place the gas cylinder in an upright position. The gas cylinder must never be placed lying down or
tilted in the device.
10. Keep an area of at least 2 metres around the device free from flammable liquids, materials, fuels and
vapours.
11. Before each use, check if the connection of the gas hose to the burner, the gas pressure regulator on the
gas hose and the gas pressure regulator on the gas cylinder are properly fitted and not loose. While
checking the connections, always ensure that the gas valve on the gas cylinder is shut. Should the
connections be loose, always tighten them before using the device.
12. Replace the gas cylinder in the outside air, away from any ignition sources (candles, cigarettes, other
flame-producing devices).
13. Every time the gas connection is reconnected and before each use, the connections mentioned in point
11 and the gas hose itself should be checked for leaks. The gas hose and gas pressure regulator must be
replaced within the prescribed intervals (see point 5.5.).
14. The gas hose should never come into contact with the hot surface of the burner. Make sure the hose is
always bent directly down towards the gas cylinder and does not touch the surface of the burner.
15. The gas hose must comply with the nationally applicable laws and regulations (EN16436). The hose is
connected to the supplied gas pressure regulator. Never connect the gas cylinder directly to the device
without a gas pressure regulator.
16. The gas pressure regulator is set to 28-30 mbar, 37 mbar or 50 mbar and the outlet pressure of the gas
pressure regulator is 28-30 mbar, 37 mbar or 50 mbar. The gas pressure regulator must be set according
to the specific gas category per country, see the table in point 6. 'Technical specifications'. The regulator
should comply with the EN 16129 standard.
17. Never change the air valve settings of the burner. If the air vents of the fire ring are blocked, contact a
gas technical specialist immediately.
18. Never obstruct a free flow of air and oxygen to the device.
19. The injector of this device should not be removed and the injector should only be installed and/or
replaced by a specialist.
