To avoid accidents, always disconnect the Battery Pack from the tool before
cleaning or performing any maintenance.
Service
All repairs, electrical or me-
chanical, should be attempt-
ed only by trained repairmen. Contact the near-
est Factory Service Center or Authorized Service
Station or other competent repair service. Use
only identical replacement parts, any other may
create a hazard.
Care of Blades
Blades become dull even from cutting regular
lumber. If you find yourself forcing the saw for-
ward to cut instead of just guiding it through the
cut, chances are the blade is dull or coated with
wood pitch.
When cleaning gum and wood pitch from the
Blade 32, disconnect the battery pack and re-
move the Blade 32. Remember, blades are de-
signed to cut, so handle carefully. Wipe the
Blade 32 with Gum and Pitch Remover or simi-
lar solvent to remove the gum and pitch. Unless
you are experienced in sharpening blades, we
recommend you do not try.
Tool Lubrication
(Fig. 93)
Preventive maintenance performed by unauthor-
ized personnel may result in misplacing of inter-
nal wires and components which could cause
serious hazard. We recommend that all tool ser-
vice be performed by a Bosch Factory Service
Center or Authorized Bosch Service Station.
The gear case has been completely lubricated
at the factory. However, after six months to one
year, depending upon use, it's wise to return

your tool to the nearest Bosch Factory Service
Center or Authorized Bosch Service Center for
the following:
• Parts cleaned and inspected
• Relubricated with fresh lubricant
• Electrical system tested
• All repairs
Periodically lubricate moving parts, such as the
Elevation Gears 111, with a silicone or light oil
spray. Do not use grease because it tends to at-
tract and hold sawdust.
Cleaning
(Fig. 94)
Certain cleaning agents and
solvents
parts. Some of these are: gasoline, carbon tetra-
chloride, chlorinated cleaning solvents, ammo-
nia, and household detergents that contain am-
monia. Avoiding use of these types of cleaning
agents will minimize the possibility of damage.
Do not clean inside of motor
openings with pointed ob-
jects. Damage to electronics or wiring can occur.
Do not allow sawdust or debris to accumulate
on the motor, power switch, and saw mecha-
nisms. Use a brush or a vacuum to remove dust
and debris from the Vent Openings 110, Guard
Mechanisms 112, Threaded Elevation Rod 113,
and Support Rods 114. Regularly check to make
sure the Smart Guard System 11 and all mov-
ing parts are working properly. Periodically
