To avoid accidents, always disconnect the Battery Pack from the tool before
troubleshooting.
Problem
Saw will not start.
Blade does not come up to
speed.
Low Power.

Troubleshooting
Cause
Battery Pack 29 is not at-
tached.
Thermal protection in the cir-
cuit board may have tripped.
The Battery Pack 29 had dis-
charged.
The temperature of the Battery
Pack 29 is outside of the nor-
mal operating range.
Electronic Motor Protection
turned the tool off.
Other.
Battery Pack has low charge
level.
The Battery Pack 29 is close to
end of life, and battery output
is reduced.
The tool or the Battery Pack 29
is overheated.
The temperature of the Battery
Pack 29 is too low.
Using a non-pro-core pack.

Corrective Action
Connect the Battery Pack 29.
Make sure that the Battery Pack
29 is fully inserted.
The Battery Pack 29, motor, or
circuit board may need to cool
down.
Check the battery fuel gauge
for the charge remaining.
Charge or replace the Battery
Pack 29.
Let the Battery Pack 29 cool
down until it reaches the
normal operating temperature
range. (See "Specifications"
on page 10 for the allowed
ambient temperature range.)
Disconnect the Battery Pack 29
and replace it.
1. Have the tool reviewed by an Autho-
rized Bosch Service Center or Ser-
vice Station.
Charge the Battery Pack 29.
Replace the Battery Pack 29.
Let the tool and Battery Pack
29 cool down until it reaches
normal operating temperature.
(See "Specifications" on page
10 for the allowed ambient
temperature range.)
Gradually warm up the Battery
Pack 29 in a warmer location
then replace in the saw once it
reaches normal operating tem-
perature. (See "Specifications"
on page 10 for the allowed
ambient temperature range.)
The saw works best with an 8ah
or 12ah Pro Core battery pack.
The saw will run with other bat-
teries but with weaker power.
