Allow the combustion engine to cool down before storing
the appliance in a closed compartment. During operation,
the exhaust gets extremely hot and remains so for a few
minutes after shutting down the engine. Avoid touching the
exhaust while it is hot.
Never store the water pump with petrol in the tank inside a
building. Petrol vapours may come into contact with flames
or sparks and ignite.
Store the petrol water pump in a dry area, with the fuel tank
empty in a well-ventilated location. Avoid places with high
humidity to avoid the appearance of corrosion and rust.
If you want to empty the tank, for example before the winter
period, the fuel tank should only be emptied outdoors.
Store the water pump in a good operating condition.
Ensure that the after pump is protected against misuse
(e.g., by children).
The machine should only be serviced by the brand's
technical assistance center, or other qualified personnel,
replacing any necessary parts with original parts.
For best performance, place the pump as close as possible
to the level of the water to be drawn on a flat, horizontal,
firm and clean surface.
As the manometric height (the height a pump can lift a
liquid between the suction and discharge/outlet water
levels) increases, the pump flow rate decreases. Reducing
the manometric height is also important in reducing self-
priming time (time it takes water to travel through the
suction tube).
The performance of the pump is also influenced by the
length,
diameter
and
discharge/outlet tubes. Use hoses not exceeding the
required length.
Use short, straight connectors to avoid unnecessary losses.
The suction pipe should be fixed to avoid vibrations.
Ensure that the strainer placed at the intake of the suction
hose is submerged by more than 30 cm to prevent air from
entering. It must be away from the banks or boundaries and
the bottom of the suction point (stream, watercourse, weir,
well, pond, etc.) to prevent the entry of debris.
1. Fit the strainer;
2. Insert the strainer in the suction hose;
3. Fit and tighten the clamp.
Always fit the strainer. This prevents the intake of
particles and avoids damage to the water pump.
