1. Insert the other end of the suction hose into the suction
hose connector and fit the fixing tie provided;
2. Place the O-ring between as shown in the image to
ensure proper sealing;
3. Tighten the nut.
The suction hose should be reinforced (steel mesh
that does not bend) to prevent it collapsing when the
pump is running.
Do not use a hose with a diameter smaller than the
suction/intake pipe.
1. Insert the end of the discharge hose into the discharge
port and fit the fixing tie supplied with the pump;
2. Place the rubber O-ring between the discharge port and
the discharge tube to ensure proper sealing;
3. Tighten the nut.
Before starting the water pump, fill the pump housing
(9) and the suction hose.
1. Remove the water filling cap (6);
2. With the filter immersed and the suction hose fitted to
the water pump, fill the pump housing (10) with clean
water through the filling hole. The housing is full when
water starts to leak out of the hose;
3. Start the engine and check that the pump sucks in
water;
4. If the pump does not draw in water stop the petrol water
pump immediately;
5. Ensure that the hose and coupling elements to the
strainer and intake pipe on the pump are properly sealed
and repeat the above steps until the pump is primed.
