4.8 CONNECTION CABLES OF SYNC
To connect the synchronism cables between the two columns:
a) Connect the synchronism cable to the carriage of column P1 on the front connection (figure 19b) inserting
the threaded end of the rope to the end and tightening the nut and counter-nut with the locking nuts on the
bottom and the cable directed upward (figure 19a);
b) Reach the top of the column, apply the rope on the pulley leaving it at the greatest possible distance from
the top and descend toward the pulley positioned on the base;
c) Cross the protective casing located on the ground, enter the column P2 and pass the rope through the
pulley positioned on the base and go back towards the trolley and lock the rope in the appropriate support
placed at the rear of the trolley with the locking nuts positioned in the upper part;
d) Repeat the same operation for connecting the second rope starting from the trolley placed in column P2
and connecting to the trolley placed in column P1;
e) Lift the trolleys up to half height and place them in a safe position; the two carriages must be aligned and
positioned on the same tooth of the rack;
f) The adjustment of the ropes will be carried out by tightening the pulley nut as far as possible until the ropes
are tensioned; tighten the lower locknut. (figure 19b).
