General description
The capacitive sensors, our abbreviation KAS, generate a capacitive field within the
area of the active surface. These sensors can be used for level controls, leakage
detection or position controls of objects. Ideal for level monitoring through non-me-
tallic container walls. The product with a dielectric constant e
indicated as a switching signal, so that the level or the desired detection task can be
controlled via the connected PLC or control system.
Electronic circuits or PLCs can be activated directly by capacitive sensors.
This sensor has two independently usable and adjustable switching outputs. Thus, two
different tasks can be queried with one device, e.g.: One output for position control
and the second output for leakage detection.
Montage
For flush mounting in metal or other materials. These sensors can be mounted
close together and are specially designed for contact-less detection of solids or
liquids through non-metal containers (max. wall-thickness 4 mm)
IP67
Watertight
IP67 according to IEC 60529
The mounting is really simple.
• Easy to screw onto brackets or containers / 4 x M3
• By gluing to the container wall
Electrical connection
3-wire sensors with binary output can be used in series or parallel connection, similar to mechanical
contacts. The type-typical voltage drop and the residual voltage U
with the number of sensors for series connection, must be noted. In the case of parallel connection of
sensors with FET-output, the first switched output takes over the total load current.
