– Chip bag for simple and effective
collection of chips.
– Laser guide for exact alignment of
markings with the cutting line.

Initial Operation
6.1
Installing the chip bag
A
Danger!
Some types of wood dust (e.g. oak,
beech, ash) may cause cancer when
inhaled.
– Always work with the dust bag in-
stalled or a suitable dust collector
connected.
– In addition, use a dust respirator be-
cause the sawdust is not completely
collected or extracted.
– Empty the chip bag periodically.
Wear dust respirator when emptying
the chip bag.
When operating the machine with the
supplied dust bag:
Push the dust bag (58) on the dust
•
extraction port (59).
59
When operating the machine with a
dust collector connected:
Use a suitable adaptor for connec-
•
ting the dust collector.
Make sure the dust extractor meets
•
the requirements specified in the
section 'Technical Data'.
Also follow the operating instruc-
•
tions supplied with the dust collec-
tor!
6.2
Installing the work clamp
The work clamp installs in two positi-
ons:
– For wide workpieces:
insert the work clamp into the rear
hole (61) in the table and secure
with the lock bolt (60):
60
61
– For narrow workpieces:
loosen the lock bolt (62) and insert
the front part of the work clamp into
the front hole (64) in the table:
58
Clamping the workpiece:
1. Press and hold down the button
(63) and slide the work clamp
against the workpiece.
2. Tighten the knob (65) to clamp the
workpiece.

Mains connection
B
Danger! High voltage
Operate this device only in a dry en-
•
vironment.
Operate the saw only with a power
•
source matching the following re-
quirements (see also 'Technical Da-
ta'):

ENGLISH
– mains voltage and system fre-
quency conform to the voltage
and frequency shown on the ma-
chine's nameplate;
– fuse protection by a residual cur-
rent device (RCD) of 30mA sen-
sitivity;
– Outlets properly installed,
earthed and tested.
Make sure that the mains cable is
•
out of the way so that it does not in-
terfere with the work and cannot be
damaged.
Protect mains cable from heat, ag-
•
gressive liquids and sharp edges.
Use only rubber cables of sufficient
•
cross section (3 × 1.5 mm
tension cables.
Do not pull on the power supply
•
cable to unplug.
7.
Operation
Before starting any work, check to
•
see that the safety devices are in
proper working order.
Use personal protective equipment.
•
Assume proper operating position:
•
– at the front of the saw;
– facing the saw;
– to the side of the line of the saw
blade.
A
Danger!
When sawing ensure that the workpi-
ece is always clamped with the work
clamp.
Never saw workpieces which can-
•
not be clamped with the work
clamp.
A
Risk of crushing!
When tilting or swivelling the sawhead
do not reach into the axis area of the
sawhead holder or under the machine!
Hold the sawhead securely when til-
•
ting.
When working use the following:
