The use of the tool causes high load of vibrations which can cause damage to the circulatory and nervous
systems, especially in people with circulatory problems. Seek medical attention if symptoms occur that may
be caused by vibrations. These symptoms, which occur mainly in the fingers, hands or wrists, include, for example,
loss of sensation, pain, muscle weakness, discoloration of the skin or unpleasant tingling.
The control and safety devices installed must not be removed or inhibited.
Maintenance and cleaning
When carrying out cleaning, adjustment, repair or maintenance work, always wear gloves and place the lawn mower
on a firm, level floor.
Keep the spark plug cap away from the spark plug, as an unexpected ignition spark can cause burns or electric
shocks. The contact of the spark plug with the spark plug cap may result in an unintentional start of the
combustion engine.
Allow the lawn mower to cool down in particular before carrying out maintenance work on the combustion
engine, exhaust manifold and silencer. Temperatures of 80°C and above can be reached.
Check the lawn mower frequently, especially before storage (e.g. before the winter period), regarding damages.
Replace worn out or damaged parts immediately for safety reasons so that the machine is always in a safe operating
condition.
Cleaning
The entire lawn mower must be thoroughly cleaned after use.
Clean the engine by hand (avoid introducing water into the air filter and exhaust). Avoid wetting the control devices
and other equipment/accessories that are difficult to dry out (water stimulates corrosion and rust);
Do not use strong cleaning agents. These products can damage plastics and metals and impair the safe operation of
your power tool.
In order to avoid the risk of fire, the areas of the cooling air vent, cooling fins and exhaust must remain free from
flammable waste.
Maintenance work
Only the maintenance work described in these operating instructions may be carried out, all other work must be
performed by an official dealer.
Use only VITO authorized accessories, oils or lubricants. Otherwise, injury or damage to the lawn mower may occur.
If in doubt, you should contact an official dealer.
For safety reasons, the fuel components (hoses, tank, tank cap and connections) should be checked regularly to
detect damage and leaks. If necessary, they should be replaced by an official dealer.
Always keep warning and indication stickers clean and legible.
Keep all nuts and screws screwed so that the lawn mower is in a safe working condition.
If you remove components or safety devices for maintenance work, they must be replaced immediately and
correctly.
