Storage and cleaning
Storage
Storage over long periods is vital to avoid problems and prolong the life of the lawn mower.
Never store the lawn mower with petrol in the tank. Depending on the region and storage conditions, the petrol can
deteriorate and oxidize, causing damage to the carburetor and fuel system, difficult starting and blockages caused
by the accumulation of particles.
Before storing, follow the procedures shown below:
1. Remove the fuel from the tank;
2. Run the engine until it stops for lack of fuel;
3. Remove the spark plug and put new motor oil (5-10 cl) into the cylinder through the spark plug hole;
4. Place a clean cloth over the spark plug hole and pull the starter handle to distribute the oil to the cylinder
5. Pull the handle of the starting system slowly while feeling resistance. The piston is rising and the intake and
exhaust valves are closed. Leaving the engine in this position will help protect from internal corrosion;
6. Reinstall the spark plug.
Cleaning
Clean the lawn mower thoroughly after each use. Remove all debris accumulated on the blade. Careful handling
protects the machine and extends its service life.
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
The packaging is made up of recyclable materials, which can be disposed of through local recycling points.
Never put combustion machines along with household waste!
Waste such as old oil, fuel, lubricant, filters and worn-out parts can harm humans, animals and the environment, so
they must be properly disposed of or recycled.
Make sure that the deactivated lawn machine is directed and disposed of in a recycling center.
You can get information regarding the disposal of used lawn mowers from your local recycling authority.
