ATTENTION: the following operations must be carried out by qualified personnel. An incorrect connection of the connector may cause a
malfunction of the device.
N.B.: Carefully read the use and maintenance instructions of the battery charger that is used for charging, this document is delivered
along with the machine.
3. Connect the plug (3) on the battery charger power cable to the socket (4) in the base of the charger (Fig.3).
4. Connect the plug on the charger power cable to the power socket (Fig.4).
WARNING: Before connecting to the plug to the socket, check that the characteristics of the mains power supply corresponds to that of
the battery charger.
5. Move the main switch (5), on the base of the battery charger, to position "I" (Fig.5).
N.B.: Ensure that the green LED (6) on the battery charger lights up when you connect the battery charger base circuit to the power
(Fig.6). This LED indicates that the battery charger circuit is correctly powered.
WARNING: Before inserting the battery into the charging holder, check that there is no condensation or other liquid in the dock that will
hold the battery.
6. Insert the battery into the slot provided in the charger, taking care to position the battery poles correctly (Fig.7).
N.B.: The battery can only be inserted into the charger one way. Do not use force when inserting the battery.
WARNING: Carefully read the battery charger use and maintenance manual delivered with the machine, before charging the battery.
N.B.: Ensure that, when inserting the battery into the base of the battery charger, the red LED (7) on the battery charger (Fig.6) turns on.
This LED indicates that the battery is recharging.
7. Perform a complete battery charging cycle.
N.B.: The red LED remains ON until the battery is fully charged.
N.B.: The charger and the battery can be left connected to the power outlet. The red LED turns on when the battery charger occasionally
tops up the battery.
N.B.: The red charge status LED does not provide any indication of the battery charge level.
N.B.: The battery may overheat during the charging phase, nevertheless, this is normal and does not imply that there is a problem with
the battery.
ATTENTION: if the battery used in this machine is over-charged, this may cause a risk of fire, explosion or chemical burns.
ATTENTION: If the battery is not recharged for a long time, it may reach a point where its voltage is lower than the safety limit due to
natural self-discharge, and this will cause irreparable damage, it is recommended to carry out a charging cycle every three months.
8. When charging is complete, position the main switch (5), on the base of the battery charger, to position "0" (Fig.5).
9. Disconnect the plug on the charger power cable from the power socket (Fig.4).
WARNING: To prevent damaging the power cable, disconnect the plug from the mains socket by directly pulling the plug and not the
cable.
10. Remove the supply battery from the base of the battery charger, to release the battery use on the locking levers on it (Fig. 7).
