Keep all parts of the body in safe distance from the
knife.Do not try to remove the material being cut or
hold material to be cut when the knife is running.
Jammed cuttings to be removed only when the
machine is off and the battery taken out. A moment of
inattention when using the hedge trimmer may result in
serious injuries.
Carry the hedge trimmer by the handle when the
knife is off. Fit the protective cover whenever the
hedge trimmer is to be transported or stored. Careful
treatment with the appliance reduces the risk of injury by
the blade. Hold the power tools by the insulated handles
as the cutting knife may come into contact with hidden
cables/lines. Contact of the cutting knife with a live con-
ductor may bring the metal parts of the appliance under
voltage and cause electric shock.
WARNING
The powertool has a large range. In order to reduce the
risk of personal or even fata linjury to bystanders from
falling objects or inadvertent contact with the moving
cutter blades of your powertool always keep by standers
at least 50 feet (15 m) away when the powertool is
running.
Before you start work, examine the work area for stones,
fence wire, metal or other solid objects which could
damage the cutter blades. Take particular care when
cutting next to wire fences. Do not touch the wire with
the cutting blades. When working close to the ground,
make sure that no sand, grit or stones get between the
cutter bladers.

• Keep all parts of the body away from the saw chain
when the pruning saw is operating. Before you start the
pruning saw, make sure the saw chain is not contacting
anything. A moment of inattention while operating
pruning saws may cause entanglement of your clothing
or body with the saw chain.
• Always hold the pruning saw with your right hand

You must be fit to operate an electric trimmer -
rested, healthy and in good physical condition. If you
get tired while operating your trimmer, take a break.
Never work with an electric trimmer while under the

The high-speed cutting head may catch and fling
stones and other foreign objects a great distance.
To reduce the risk of injury, ensure that bystanders
/ children and animals are at least 15 m (50 ft) away
from your own position.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of injury from blade contact, be
absolutely sure that the cutting tool is clear of you and all
other obstructions and objects, including the ground.
Once the engine has started, immediately blip the thrott-
le trigger, which should release the starting throttle and
allow the engine to slow down to idle.
WARNING
The cutter blades continue to move fo ra short period
after the throttle trigger is released (flywheel effect).
Residual dangers
Residual risks always remain even if the hedge trimmer is
used properly. The hedge trimmer's design can entail the
following hazards:

Contact can be made with the unprotected blade
(resulting in cutting injuries)
•
Reaching into or grabbing the hedge trimmer while it
is in operation (resulting in cutting injuries)
•
Unanticipated, sudden movement of the plant materi-
al being cut (resulting in cutting injuries)
•
Ejection or catapulting of damaged cutting teeth
•
Ejection or catapulting of the plant material being cut
•
Hearing damage if the specified hearing protection
is not worn
•
Inhalation of cut materials
on the rear handle and your left hand on the front
handle. Holding the pruning saw with a reversed hand
configuration increases the risk of personal injury and
should never be done.
