Lubrication
The roller bearings do not require
maintenance.
They should be replaced if they
become noisy.
Change the oil whenever it con-
tains water or is contaminated.
Change the oil at least every two
years.
If refilling is required refer to the
oil section of this document.
Lubricate the gear teeth and the
bearing bushes twice a year with
an all-purpose grease.
When tightening the screws, re-
new the threadlocker, if necessa-
ry.
Inspection
Check the power supply cable
twice a year for visible damage.
If damaged, the cable must be
replaced by Grundfos.
If the shaft seal housing is not
monitored for leakage, inspect
it every 6 months.
Check the propeller blades reg-
ularly for wear and tear. Re-
move any material wound
around the blades which may
cause uneven running and os-
cillation of the installation. In
case of strong turbulence,
clean it.
Check the wire regularly and al-
ways before using the winch.
Replace the wire, if required.
