recommended that the first charging lasts for 5 hours.
Charging the battery should be made in temperatures between 4°C
to 40°C.
New battery, or one that have not been used for a long time, will reach
full efficiency after approximately 5 charge/discharge cycles.
• Insert the charger cord plug into the socket (7) in the screwdriver
body (fig. A).
• Connect the charger to mains socket (230V).
• Red diode (4) on the screwdriver casing will light up to indicate
charging process.
Diode will remain lit as long as the charger is connected to mains
socket. After discharge minimum 3 – 5 hours of recharge is required
to reach the maximum level of the battery.
Normal use allows for multiple chargings. To maintain the screwdriver
in good condition recharge its battery at least once per six months.
Do not charge the battery for more than 8 hours. Exceeding this
time limit may cause damage to battery cells.
Batteries heat up strongly when charging. Do not operate just
after charging – wait for the battery to cool down to room
temperature. It will prevent battery damage.
INSERTING / REMOVING WORKING BITS
• Place appropriate working bit in the screwdriver socket (1).
• Ensure the bit is inserted to the end and is properly installed.
Use additional magnetic adaptor supplied with the set when using
short driver bits. Always make a pilot hole before screwing screws
with the screwdriver.
ADJUSTABLE HANDLE
Screwdriver handle can be positioned straight in the axis of the
spindle or at an angle. The handle is retained in each of the positions
with a latch.
• Release the handle lock button (3) by pushing it to the front.
• Turn the handle by 180° around axis (fig. B).
• Make sure the latch snapped and the handle position is properly
secured.
SPINDLE BRAKE
Cordless screwdriver is equipped with electronic brake, which stops
the spindle immediately after the switch button is released. The brake
ensures precision when screwing or drilling and prevents free spindle
rotation after the tool is switched off.
OPERATION / SETTINGS
SWITCHING ON / SWITCHING OFF
Switching on – press the switch button (8).
Switching off – release the switch button (8).
TORQUE CONTROL
Setting the ring (2) in given position causes permanent setting of the
clutch to specified torque. When the set torque is reached, overload
clutch releases automatically. It prevents screwing screws too deep or
damaging the screwdriver.
Different screws and materials require different torque to be applied. The
bigger the number corresponding given position, the bigger the torque.
• Set the ring (2) to specified torque (fig. C).
• Always start operation with low torque.
• Increase the torque gradually until appropriate value is set (range 1 – 9).
• Use higher settings to unscrew screws.
• Knowledge how to choose appropriate settings comes with
practise.
BATTERY LEVEL INDICATION
Screwdriver is equipped with signalisation of the battery level (LED
diodes) (4). Three diodes show the battery level. To check the battery
level:
• Press the button (5)
• When all the diodes (4) (fig. D) of the battery level indicator are lit,
the battery charge level is high.
• When red and yellow diodes are lit, the battery is partially charged.
• When only red diode is lit, the battery is discharged and must be
recharged.
LEFT – RIGHT DIRECTION OF ROTATION
Choose direction of spindle rotation with the selector switch (3)
(fig. E).
Right rotation – move the switch (6) to the extreme left position.
Left rotation – move the switch (6) to the extreme right position.
* The possibility is reserved that in certain cases position of the switch relating to
rotation direction may be different than specified. Please refer to graphic signs
placed on the switch or tool body.
Safe position of the selector switch (3) is the middle position. It
prevents accidental starting the power tool.
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
Screwdriver is a maintenance-free tool.
Clean the body with dry cloth. Do not use any cleaning agent, as it
may damage the tool body.
All faults should be repaired by service workshop authorized by the
manufacturer.
