Crispy Waffles
These waffles don't have sugar in the recipe so are best paired with
sweetened berries and cream or a chocolate drizzle.
GRID

PREPARATION
1. Preheat the waffle iron to 7 on the dial.

The grid seals in the gooey cheese and fillings, and perfectly toasts the
outside of the bread. Lots of filling options for savory or sweet treats.

INGREDIENTS
- 4 slices bread of your choice – heartier
breads like sourdough or french hold
up better
- 4.4 oz. mozzarella cheese, sliced
- 4 slices prosciutto
- 1 tomato, sliced thinly
- thyme, fresh, minced
- salt & pepper, to taste
- butter
PREPARATION
1. Preheat the waffle iron to 7 on the dial.
2. Remove the crusts from the bread and butter the outsides.
3. Place 2 slices of bread, butter side down, on the plate.
4. Layer ingredients in the following order: cheese, prosciutto, tomato, salt/pepper,
thyme, cheese and top with remaining bread slices, butter side up.
5. Close the lid and press together. Turn after 3 minutes. Cook until desired
crispness is reached, about 6 minutes.
6. Remove with a spatula and slice to serve.
