D – Installation and commissioning
1. General guidelines for installation
Note:
Caution!
The technical data for the station, the spill conditions and the local and general regulations must be
observed.
The installation site must be freeze-resistant and guaranty protection of the station against chemical
products, colouring agents, solvents, gases, high radiation temperatures and direct penetration of
sunlight.
The installation area for the station must be sufficiently large, horizontal, flat, sturdy and easily
accessible for all inspection and maintenance tasks.
The required connections must be installed before the start of the station installation work.
2. Sanitary facilities – Assembly guidelines
Note:
It is important to note that in normal operation, the condensed water accumulates near the outlet
connection. If condensed water flows out of the heat generator or smoke ducts, the installation
surfaces and the condensed water flows must be adapted accordingly.
A line connection (at least DN 40) must be provided for evacuation of the condensed water. It
should allow unrestricted flow.
The outlet pipe must not be connected directly to the discharge pipework in order to prevent a
pipework discharge contamination at the neutralisation station.
In the absence of a drain or of a discharge pipework connection near to the floor, the waste water
pumping system AH-300 can be connected downstream (see accessories).
The pipes supplied must be used for connection of the installation.
When additional pipes and connections are required, only materials which are resistant to corrosion
and authorised per worksheet ATV- A 251 (p. ex. PP, PE, PVC, ...) should be used.
Do not use any brass, copper or steel elements.
It is possible to integrate other condensing boilers and/or smoke ducts up to maximum neutralisation
performance using Tees.
Place the inlet pipe with a slope toward the neutralisation station and the outlet pipe with a slope
toward the discharge pipework. Do not bend the pipes!
If there is no siphon at the boiler, the inlet pipe must be placed with a slope toward the neutralisation
station in the form of a discharge loop (see fig. D-1).

GB
The operating instructions given must also be observed when installing stations
with optional equipment.
When no drain is available at the installation site, an alarm system must be
provided. The alarm system must indicate a clearly perceptible warning in the
event of a failure, and as may be necessary, prevent overflow of the station and
the resulting damage by shutting down the heat generator.
Installation and commissioning must only be performed by an approved
installation company having specially trained personnel.
