DRAINING WATER FROM THE DECK
The boat is self-draining. It comes with a rain water drainage network comprising four
scuppers on deck. One at the front of the console and one ahead of the bolster, each linked
to a hull sea cock. Two more on the aft deck are linked to dump outlets in the transom.
Sea cock caps are accessible in the console through the forward hatch.
POSITION (1): caps stored in the console
POSITION (2): caps inserted into the sea cocks
While boating, insert the caps into the sea cocks in position (2).
Water draining procedure:
When stopped: plugs in position (1), then navigate in planing position (> 6 knots). Place parts
back in position (2) when the water is drained.
Once the boat is out of the water (on a tailor, hoist), plugs in position (1).
When moored temporarily or in other situations where the
boat is not at risk of receiving quantities of water
(Heavy rain, breaking waves), place the
elements in position (1) or (2) as required.
Long-term or risky anchorage: plugs out (1).
WARNING
BILGE PUMP
-614609-
IF THE BOAT TAKES IN LARGE AMOUNTS OF WATER FROM
THE OUTSIDE (HEAVY RAIN, WAKE,...) AND THE THROUGH-
HULLS ARE PLUGGED, THE BOAT RISKS BEING SUBMERGED
(SWAMPED). THE WATER TAKEN ON MAY THEN ACCUMULATE
IN THE BILGE AND MAKE THE BOAT MUCH HEAVIER CAUSING
IT TO LIE LOW IN THE WATER AND CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGE
TO CERTAIN UNITS SUCH AS THE ENGINE OR THE ELECTRICAL
CIRCUITS.
