4.3 Pipe mounting surface preparation
►
Before attaching the transducers, make sure that desired position meets the distance requirements.
►
Clean the pipe to remove any grease residues.
►
Remove any dirt and flaking paint in order to ensure an even surface.
NOTICE
Maximum accuracy
A smooth and even contact between pipe surface and transducer is an important factor for obtaining a sufficiently strong ultrason-
ic signal.

►The GF U1000 V2 WM/WHM boots for the first time.
The GF start screen is displayed for 5 s.
►The start-up wizard automatically starts.
Enter Pipe Material menu appears.
►Select your pipe material using
the list.
►Press
to confirm material.
► Enter the pipe inside diameter and press
►Enter the pipe wall thickness.
►Press
to acknowledge.
►Enter the temperature of the fluid. The value must be in the
range 0.1 to 140.0 °C.
►Press
to acknowledge.
