11 (SECTOR S)
This sector is positioned on the upper part of the display.
It provides in summary form the welding settings, and
partial or total block of parameters.
The illuminated green light (< 48V) indicates the efficiency
of the no-load voltage check in the AC welding processes
.
12 TEST GAS (SECTOR T )
The function enables adjustment of the gas
flow
With the function activated, the electronically
controlled valve opens. For 30 seconds, the
symbol glows, changing colour every second; when
the time ends, the electronically controlled valve closes
automatically; on pressing the knob of the encoder during
this time, the electronically controlled valve closes.
13 WELDING WITH COVERED ELECTRODES (MMA)
DC AND MMA AC
This welding machine is suitable for welding all types of
electrodes, with the exception of cellulosic (AWS 6010).
• Make sure that the G switch is in position 0, then connect
the welding cables, observing the polarity required by the
manufacturer of the electrodes you will be using; also
connect the clamp of the ground cable to the workpiece,
as close to the weld as possible, making sure that there is
good electrical contact.
• Do not touch the welding torch or electrode clamp and
the ground clamp.
• Turn on the machine using the G switch.
• Select MMA Process
• Adjust the current based on the electrode diameter,
welding position and type of joint to be made.
• Always remember to shut off the machine and remove
the electrode from the clamp after welding.
To select this process, see chapter 5.
To modify the welding parameters, proceed as follows:
34
Confirmation enables access to the following welding
parameters:
• HOT-START CURRENT adjustable from 0 to 100% of
the welding current (with saturation at maximum current).
Percentage of current added to the welding current
to enable arc ignition. The parameter activates in red.
Confirm and adjust the parameter. Confirmation enables
automatic passage to the next parameter, or turn knob B
to select the desired parameter.
• HOT-START TIME adjustable from 0 to 500 ms.
• ARC FORCE adjustable from 0 al 100%. (with saturation
at maximum current). This overcurrent facilitates transfer
of melt metal.
14. EVO ST. ADJUSTMENT
When an "EVO ST" ignition is set, an icon appears on
the current control-flow graph that can be selected by
means of knob B.

using
the knob B.
This function acts so that when the arc length is shortened,
the current increases, and vice versa; the operator then
controls the heat gain and penetration just by moving the

welding torch.
The amplitude of variation of current per unit of voltage is
adjustable by means of the APC parameter
