Warning : risk of burns !
The surface temperature of machine parts may exceed 80°C. Take steps to prevent people from
accidentally touching the hot parts.
Check the direction of rotation.
Operation in the wrong direction of rotation can damage the vacuum pump.
Fix your vacuum pump to a platform using the silentblocs supplied.
The vacuum pump can be started up under load and operate continuously at any pressure.
3. SERVICING AND MAINTENANCE
3.1.
General warnings
For good maintenance:
•
Immediately verify the causes of any malfunctions (excessive noise, overheating, etc.)
•
Pay particular attention to safety devices
•
Make use of all documentation provided by the manufacturer (instruction manuals, wiring
diagrams, etc.)
•
Use only appropriate tools and original spare parts.
Take every possible precaution to protect the environment. In particular, all waste fluids should be
recovered and recycled. Never dispose of these fluids directly into the environment.
It is vital during servicing and maintenance operations to take steps to protect against the risks
associated with moving or live parts.
Before performing any servicing or maintenance operation on the pump:
The pump must be powered off and electrically locked out.
Isolate the pump from the application.
Depending on applications, the pump parts may have been contaminated by the substances
pumped. Apply elementary hygiene rules and use suitable personal protective equipment.
These operations are to be performed by qualified and accredited personnel.
Rubber O ring or rubber flat seals dismantled must be replaced.

Cleaning
Regularly:
Clean the external surface of the machine in order to remove any dust.
Clean the whole ventilation section.
Annually :
Dismantle the silencer and clean it. Change it if necessary.
Replace the suction filter cartridge.
3.3.
Maintenance
In normal operating conditions (maximum suction and ambient temperatures of 40°C and permissible
pressure), after about 10000 hours of operation and at least every two years, change the cylinder head and
casing seal.
Check the condition of the bearing; if it is showing signs of fatigue, change the piston kit.
N.B.: The times indicated above are given purely for guidance. They will depend on how the machine is used
and may thus vary. Consult us for further information.

ismantling
Disposal operations involve risks of cutting, shavings protection, entanglement, contact with
moving parts and contact with chemicals. Operators should use the appropriate personal
protective equipment.
Before any dismantling operation, make sure that the pump does not present any risk generated by substances
drawn. See safety sheet on ANNEX
The pump must be dismantled. The materials must be sorted, collected, recovered according to current
regulations.
The main wastes to be recovered are:
Metallic materials
DEEE
The collection and recovery must be done by service providers authorised in accordance with the current
regulations.
