WARNING
FAILURE TO HEED ANY OF THESE WARNINGS MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH
The TLD D4 helmet is a bicycle helmet to be used while riding a bicycle. It is not intended for use with
motorcycles or motorized vehicles. This helmet complies with U.S. CPSC Safety Standard for Bicycle
Helmets for Persons Age 5 and Older, 15 USC §6001-6006 (16 CFR PART 1203). This helmet is designed
to protect from an impact caused by collision of the head with an obstacle while cycling, it has passed the
EN1078:2012+A1:2012 to show conformity to the EHSR of EU 2016/425.
Meets mandatory regional regulations. Standards may vary with region.
1. The function of the helmet is to reduce the risk of a head injury in an accident. No helmet can protect
the wearer against all possible impacts or injuries, nor is it possible to predict if a helmet will protect you
in any given accident. Depending on the type of impact, even a low speed accident can result in a serious
injury or fatality.
2. No helmet can provide the same level of impact protection at the edge of the helmet as may be
afforded when the impact occurs higher up on the shell.
3. The helmet will not protect the parts of your head that are not covered. The purpose of the helmet
is to minimize the risk of head injuries. The helmet is not designed to protect your neck or spine from
injury. It will not protect you against head injuries that are not caused by impacts, such as violent shaking.
4. For maximum head protection, the helmet must be of a proper fit and the retention system [straps]
must be securely fastened under the chin. Failure to ensure a proper fit or securely fasten the helmet is
dangerous as the helmet could come off or slip into an improper position in an accident resulting in severe
head or neck injury or death. Even a correctly fitted helmet can be ejected off the head in some accidents,
resulting in injury or death.
