Setting Up and Connecting the Device
PLEASE NOTE!
•
Only connect the device to a plug socket that is properly installed and matches the
technical data of the device. The plug socket must also be readily accessible after con-
nection so that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated.
Do not use the device in conjunction with extension cables.

Do not place the device below kitchen wall units or similar cupboards. The rising steam
could cause damage to them!

The surfaces of furniture may possibly contain elements which can attack and soften the
feet of the device. If necessary, place a suitable pad below the feet.
1. Place the device on the kitchen unit or another dry, solid, flat, heat-resistant and splash-proof
work surface. Ensure there is sufficient clear space on all sides (at least 20 cm to the sides and
30 cm above).
2. Fully unwind the connecting cable.
3. Ensure that the On / Off switch and thermostat control (9) is in the O (Off) position.
4. Connect the connecting cable to a plug socket which is properly installed and easily accessible.
Operation
Control Lamps
Dry-running protection control lamp
The dry-running protection control lamp (10) lights up red to warn that there is no water or not
enough water in the water reservoir (7). In this case, the dry-running protection is activated and
the heating of the device is automatically switched off.
Heating control lamp
The heating control lamp (11) lights up blue as soon as the heating element of the device starts
heating the water. The heating control lamp lights up at intervals when the water is being kept
warm and when boiling at intervals.
