Connecting the hydraulic hose(s)
The actions for connecting the hydraulic hose(s) depend on the hose-coupler system in use:
the High-Flow system or the Auto-Lock system.
Normally, the unit is equipped with female High-Flow couplers. The hydraulic hose(s) from the pump
must be provided with male High-Flow couplers.
WARNING
Never use damaged couplers.
Always make sure that the pressure relief valve is in the "neutral" position, before you
connect hydraulic hose(s) to the pump.
Make sure that the pump is turned off.

For hydraulic scheme of system setup, refer to Fig. 20
•
Connect hose for lifting to "up" and hose for lowering to "down".
NOTICE
If not or bad connected, or too much pump flow, the safety valve will vent oil outward
High-Flow (Fig. 14)
•
Remove the dust caps from the female and male couplers.
•
Check the couplers for dirt and damage and clean them if necessary.
•
Screw the male coupler into the female coupler and tighten the locking ring as far as possible.
Do not use pliers or similar tools to connect the couplers.
•
Screw the dust caps together, to prevent from contamination.
Auto-Lock (Fig. 15)
•
Turn the retainer ring on the female coupler anti-clockwise to unsecure the lock ring.
•
Remove the dust cap from the female coupler by pushing back the lock ring. The dust cap slips off.
•
Pull the dust cap from the male coupler.
•
Check the couplers for dirt and damage and clean them if necessary.
•
Pull the lock ring back and push the couplers into each other for the supply hose as well as the
return hose. The lock ring of the female coupler will automatically move in the opposite direction
and lock.
•
Check whether the couplers can not be pulled apart with a normal manual effort and turn the
retainer ring clockwise so that the lock ring is secured.
•
Connect the dust caps together.

Installing the saddle
By default, the cylinders are equipped with a plain saddle. This plain saddle can be removed and
replaced with a tilting saddle.
•
Remove the plain saddle from the plunger with a quick short pull.
•
Install the tilting saddle with a sharp push until it clicks and locks.
NOTICE
A double acting lock nut cylinder is supplied with a tilting saddle by default.
Always use the cylinder with the tilting saddle to prevent damage to the cylinder.
