Lock nut cylinder
•
Connect the hose(s) and pressurize the cylinder.
•
Unscrew the nut from the cylinder housing.
•
Set the pressure relief valve on the pump to "neutral". The plunger will retract.
NOTICE
Recommended: use a counter balance valve when lowering.
On hydraulic-return lock nut cylinders (double-acting), use a maximum return line pressure
resistance of 50 bar.

After use
4.5.1
Disconnecting the hydraulic hose(s)
The actions for disconnecting the hydraulic hose(s) depend on the hose-coupler system in use: the
High-Flow system or the Auto-Lock system.
WARNING
Always make sure that the pressure relief valve is in the "neutral" position and
cylinders/tools are unloaded, before you disconnect hydraulic hose(s) from the pump.
High-Flow (Fig. 16)
•
Disconnect the dust caps from each other.
•
Unscrew the locking ring. The male coupler will be released.
•
Clean the couplers and the dust caps.
•
Replace the dust caps on the female and male couplers.
Auto-Lock (Fig. 17)
•
Disconnect the dust caps from each other.
•
Turn the retainer ring on the female coupler anti-clockwise to unsecure the lock ring.
•
Disconnect the quick couplers for the supply hose as well as the return hose by pushing the lock
ring on the female coupler backwards and the male coupler will be released.
•
Clean the couplers and the dust caps.
•
Replace the dust caps on the female and male couplers.

After use
Inspection
•
Check the unit for completeness, leaks and damage. Do not use the unit if it leaks or is damaged
and contact the Holmatro dealer.
Cleaning and storage
•
Clean the unit and any accessories before storage.
•
Clean the couplers and dust caps. Make sure the dust caps are installed.
•
Dry the unit if it has been used in wet conditions. Apply a thin coat of preservative oil to the external
steel parts.
